Kunti Meets the Moon God

There was a young girl, around the age of 4 years old roaming the streets of Jaipur. She was constantly abused and beaten at home so she will escape her home environment and found peace in alleys of the city. One day her uncle saw her walking around in tattered clothes and took her in. After that day, her parents never attempted to look for her.
This girl, who her uncle lovingly named Kunti, discovered that her uncle was actually a king! She was so happy to be treated with respect and dignity. Only a week after her uncle brought her to his kingdom, she was adopted and formally a part of such a loving family. This was everything this kind, selfless, young girl deserved. As Kunti grew older, she had such an undying love and appreciation for her uncle. She would follow him everywhere and they had a beautiful father-daughter relationship.
When Kunti was around 16 years old, her father's friend, a Sage named Dhurwasa came to visit. One thing about Dhurwasa that everyone feared was his temper. This temper caused him to do very irrational things, like curse people for no reason. Everyone in the kingdom feared him, except for Kunti. Rather, Kunti befriended him and they would talk about life, spirituality and many other things. He would come over for dinner often and chat with Kunti for hours on end.
When Kunti turned 18 years old, Dhurwasa gifted her with a ring and a special mantra. He told her not to tell anyone about the magical powers of the ring. In conjunction with a mantra, the ring was powerful enough to summon any of the gods she wanted. After Dhurwasa left, Kunti wanted to see if what he said was true. She locked herself in her room, spoke the mantra, and put on the ring. Since she was facing the window, and the moonlight was pouring in, the moon god, Chandra, appeared before her. Kunti was in shock when she saw that the god was standing with her in the room. Without any thought, she embraced Chandra in a hug. All of a sudden, Chandra started gleaming with light and as Kunti started to let go of him, the god disappeared and all that was left was a child with a mood scar on the left palm.
Kunti had no idea where this child came from and what to do with it. She started to panic, thinking that if she did decide to keep him, what will people of the kingdom think of her.

What will Kunti do? Will she tell her uncle about the child? Did Sage Dhurwasa predict this would happen? This story will continue in nect week's chapter!

Author's Note: Some major changes to this story are that I gave a background of Kunti's life before her adoption. She was in an abusive household. After her adoption, she befriended a sage and he had given her a ring in this version in addition to the mantra that was in the original version of the story. She summoned the moon god in this version of the story.
